Gandhi Centre Of Science and Human Values

International Youth Day :

Bhavan’s Gandhi Centre in association with Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Bangalore and GFGC, Dasarahalli, Bangalore observed the one day workshop on the ‘International Youth Day’ – State level Yuva Prerana Karyagara- at Mahadeva Desai Hall, Gandhi Bhavan, Bangalore on 19th August 2026.

Dr. Abida Begam welcomed the guests and participants.

Dr. C.R.Chandrasekhar, Psychologist, inaugurated the function, and also spoke about Addictions. Dr. D.Jeevankumar, Professor, MGRD&PR, Gadag spoke about Mahatma Gandhiji’s views on Pana-nisheda. Dr. Mutturaju.A, Asst. Prof. NIMHANS, spoke about Substance use prevention. Sri Sharanappa Saladapura, President, Karnataka Madyapana Samyama Mandali, presided over the function. Dr. Patap Lingaiah, State NSS Officer, and Dr. Amrutakshi, G. Principal, GFJC, Dasarahalli, were the Chief guests.

More than 250 students participated in the workshop. Bhavan’s Gandhi Centre gave prizes to the winners of the drawing competition (1st Prize Rs.2000/-; 2nd Prize Rs.1500/- and 3rd Rs.1000/-). Dr. Abhida Begum, Director, Physical Education, GFGC, Dasarahalli, B’lore and Sri Narendra, KGS Nidhi, coordinated the programme. Dr. Ashwathamma,K, Al-Ameen College, compered the programme.
