lecture to a VVIP J.P.Morgan group, which included former Australian Prime Minister John Howard and Henry Kissinger, at Gandhi Smriti New Delhi on October 21, 2019

Key Note Addressed By "Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth"

Prominent among the approximately 40 members of this group who attended this lecture where former Prime Minister of Australia Rt. Hon. John Howard, former US Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger, Chairman of Exxon Mr. Lee Raymond, Chairman of Fiat Chrysler of Italy John Elkann and former Chairman of J.P.Morgan Mr William Harrison.

In Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth lecture J.P.Morgan had purchased 50 of his 'Gandhi's Outstanding Leadership' books (the Foreword to which has been written by former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev) and presented them to all members of this group.

In Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth lecture he presented the international scenario of intense imperial rivalries, brutal colonial subjugation and humiliating racialism in which Gandhi was born, lived, studied and worked in India, UK and South Arica and his transformation from a timid lawyer into a fearless “Soul Force” revolutionary who made a deep and enduring impact in India and on the world, directly and through his disciples. Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth pointed out that he defined “Soul Force” as the “Power of God” within each of us, which in being used requires fearlessness, willingness to endure suffering and “the pitting of one’s whole soul against the will of the tyrant", and that therewith "even a single individual can defy the whole might of an unjust empire and lay the foundation for its fall or regeneration”. Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth also pointed out that India's independence, which his “Soul force” revolution secured not only transformed it from a highly feudal, caste ridden, minimally democratic country into a constitutional polity with universal adult franchise but also triggered the demise of all European Imperialisms and swelled UN membership from 37 in 1947 to 190 in 1997. This was the most radical transformation of international political geography in history and was attained with minimal bloodshed. "Soul Force" revolutions also ended almost 20 Communist and military dictatosrchips with minimal bloodshed and this contrasts sharply with the 50 million killed in WWII to end the Nazi & Fascist dictatorships in Germany, Italy and Japan.

Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth ended his lecture by reading out Albert Einstein’s full length tribute to Gandhi.

When Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth lecture concluded, Dr. Henry Kissinger got off his wheel chair, walked up to him and commented “You not only know much about Gandhi but also how to convey this convincingly to others. Shri Pascal Alan (P.A.)Nazareth was impressed as moved”.
