On 12-01-2023, Gandhi Centre in collaboration with SRN Adarsh Degree College, 5th Main Chamarajpet, B’luru conducted a debate on the one of the Seven Social sins listed by Gandhiji – “Worship Without Sacrifice”, in the Seminar hall of the College, at 11am. to 12.30pm. Programme started with Jain prayer song, followed by lighting the lamp. Mr. Rohith.K. compared the programme and briefed about the National Youth Day and Gandhiji listed Seven Social Sins the debate topic for the day “Worship without Sacrifice”. Ms. Akshaya Ajit welcomed the guests and the gathering
Dr. Sakuntala Samuelson, Principal of the Degree College presided over the function. Mrs. Uma.P, Asst. Professor of English, Ms. Akshaya Ajit, Asst. Professor of English, Mrs. Surekha Kamath, Asst. Professor of Sanskrit and Mr. Rohith.K. Asst. Professor of Kannada Dept., were the judges for the debate competition.
Three prizes were given to Ms. Kashmi (1st Prize), Ms.Trupti (II prize) and Mr.Goutham(III prize). Prizes were sponsored by Bhavan’s Gandhi Centre. At the end Mrs. Surekha Kamath proposed the vote of thanks. More than fifty students and faculty members attended the function.
